WEDNESDAY

. . . . . . More rain today. Melvin phoned me this morning to let me know he had driven into town for a doctors appointment and had taken Tippy, his dog along. The doctor wanted to run some tests that required him to stay the night in hospital so my job was to go get Tippy and take her home. She is now at the house with a full bowl of water and a two days supply of dog food. Roy, Mel’s neighbor, will look in on her tomorrow morning and Mel expects to be home early afternoon. I was back home by 10:30 and spent the day reading and generally doing nothing. I even forgot to get on my stepper today, that makes two days in a row.
