FRIDAY

. . . The rain has arrived. It is not yet really cold but wet is bad enough if the wind happens to be blowing. After breakfast this morning I cooked up a pot of what I call spaghetti sauce and left it simmering on the stove while I went to the river for some fishing and reading. The rains came but I did have my umbrella along so it was still comfortable enough to read for a couple of hours. It would not have been comfortable with the wind blowing but I was able to put up with the weather without a lot of trouble. About 2:30 I realized I had left the spaghetti sauce cooking so I had to rush home. I got back in time to save the concoction but it was close.
